The middle school boys lacrosse team bounced back from a 12-6 loss in their opening game to Our Lady of Lourdes Monday by routing Cary Academy 15-1 Tuesday at John A. Murray Field. The Warrior’s offense dominated in the first half to take a 13-1 halftime lead, which included three goals from Walker Ward. “I thought the boys moved the ball really well, they really played aggressive and attacked.” said coach Ricardo Viera. “We also played great defense when we needed to, Ollie (Koon) really shut down their best player throughout the game and made it hard for him to score.” Ward led the way for the Warriors with three goals and three assists. Cruz English also tallied three goals, while Grady Sewell scored twice and had three assists. 7thgraders Beck Maddison and Chapman Cella both added 2 goals as well. The Warriors are now 1-1, and their next game is March 19that Ravenscroft School. St. David's junior Daniel Baucom wrote this post.
