MS BOYS SOCCER
Dash United (9/5) – The MS Boys Soccer Team hosted Dash United on Tuesday, Sept. 5th. The Warriors were looking to improve upon their previous outings and continue to build upon the things they did well. The Warriors have been working hard at practice and are coming together as a team. The first 2 Warrior goals showed how the players are gaining more confidence and trusting each other more. For the first Warrior goal, George Cram took the ball to the corner and crossed it to Liles Knight in the middle who one-timed it into the goal. Jackson Mauney played a beautiful corner kick to George Cram who placed a great header into the back of the net to score the Warriors second goal. The Warriors pulled off the 3-2 win!
MS GIRLS TENNIS

The Warriors walked away with a 2-0 victory. “I am so proud of the girls and how they were able to come back from break and be so focused.” – Coach Carroll
Wake Christian (9/7) – The Warriors travelled across town to take on the Bulldogs. The Warriors knew it was a tall task at hand but were ready to compete. The Warriors were able to pull out the 2-0 victory against a tough Wake Christian team. The win was the first one in 5 years for the Warriors!
MIDDLE SCHOOL ROUND-UP
8/28 – 9/1
MS BOYS SOCCER
Thales of Rolesville (8/21) – The Warriors opened the season against Thales Academy of Rolesville. The Warriors were excited to get the season started. Although the Warriors are young and inexperienced, there were several great passes and some really good soccer from a group of players that have only spent a short time together but were able to learn a lot about each other during the game. “I am looking forward to watching these young men develop over the season.” – Coach Walston
Cary Christian (8/22) – The Warriors took on a more experienced team in Cary Christian. The Warriors were looking to build upon some good points they had displayed in their opening contest and things they had worked on at practice. The experience of the Knights proved to be too much on this day. “We have 13 new players this season, 8 of which are 6th graders. We just haven’t had enough time to gel as a team or get to know one another.” – Coach Walston
Magellan Charter School (8/29) – The Warriors faced Magellan Charter School on Tuesday, August 29th. The Warriors were still looking for their first win of the season. The Warriors had lots of energy and were eager to compete. After going down early the Warriors confidence begin to waiver a bit. “I spoke to the guys about focusing on the progress we make as a team and not on the wins or losses.” – Coach Walston The Warriors continued to fight and had a few chances at the goal but were not able to convert.
MS GIRLS TENNIS
Ravenscroft (8/22) - First match against Ravenscroft and Warriors win 8-1. After some early nerves, the singles courts pulled ahead to close out the singles courts 5-1. Each player worked to adjust to their opponent’s’ strengths and weaknesses. The Ravenscroft doubles courts were no match for our pairings, the Warriors dropped only 2 games in all 3 of those matches. Veteran Taylor Cannon and newcomer Maggie Morisey played and won at both singles and doubles! Great start to the season!
Magellan (8/29) - The Warriors won all 9 courts vs Magellan and only dropped 5 total games!! Amazing performance by all 10 available players. Great start to conference season!
Cary Christian (8/31) – The MS Girls Tennis Team is on a roll to start off this 2023 season. The Warriors tacked on another conference win on Wednesday by defeating the Knights 9-0.
MS VOLLEYBALL
Ravenscroft (8/24) – The Warriors took on the Ravens in a close match to open up the season. The Warriors started off a bit slow and found themselves down by 5 in the first set. The Warriors quickly built momentum and started playing together well as a team. “What a good way to start off our season. I am very proud of the girls.” – Coach Carroll
Magellan Charter (8/29) – The Warriors hosted Magellan Charter and were looking to improve upon things they had been working on at practice. “Our chemistry gets better and better with each game we play.” -Coach Carroll The Warriors were very aggressive and soon took control of the match. Sarah Fletcher led the attack for the Warriors with 3 kills. Maya Wadsworth added 2 kills and a block to her stat sheet. One offense it was the serving of the Warriors that was impressive. Kamila Graham led the way with 5 aces for the night.
Cary Christian (8/31) – The Warriors travelled to take on a very experienced Knights nights team. The Warriors have been playing well this season and are starting to gel better as a team. “The girls played hard and didn’t give up.” – Coach Carroll The Warriors competed to the best of their abilities but the Knights proved to be a little can too much.
