The Lower School program, grades Pre-K-4, establishes a strong foundation upon which St. David’s students begin their academic journey. The Lower School seeks to engage and challenge the students’ minds and capture the joy and excitement of learning, as we meet their developmental needs and set them up for success in the Middle and Upper Schools.
Our Lower School curriculum emphasizes the core subjects of reading, mathematics and written expression, and also places importance on science, social studies and the integration of concepts throughout different disciplines in order to develop each student’s foundational learning and critical thinking. Kindergarteners through 4th graders also participate in daily physical education and a wide array of exciting enrichments in academics, fine arts, Spanish and STEAM.

Lower School Interdisciplinary Events
Students in all grades participate in these events in the Lower School.
As part of St. David’s mission to develop and foster virtue, the Lower School studies a group of character traits from scripture throughout the year. Each week in our Chapel service, students are recognized for how the Lord is working through them in exhibiting these traits and impacting others in our classrooms and community.
