Varsity Baseball

Our Varsity Baseball Team hosted  the Patriots of Arendall Parrott Academy on Tuesday, March 18th.  The Warriors were facing a tough opponent and needed each player to excel in their role to secure a victory.  Once again, the Warriors hung their hat on a solid performance on the mound from Senior Grey McMahon.  He pitched the entire game and had 8 strikeouts and gave up no earned runs.  Junior Adkins Allen scored a solo home run in the top of the first to make the score 1-0, then scored again from third on a passed ball for the game winning run. 

Our Varsity Baseball Team hosted Trinity Academy for the second time this season on March 7th.  The Warriors were spear headed by a dominant performance from their pitcher,  Senior Grey McMahon who rang up 13 strikeouts.  McMahon allowed only one hit and two runs over 4 and 2/3 innings while walking only 2.  Freshman Evan Thompson grounded into a fielder's choice, which helped the Warriors tie the game in the bottom of the first.  Junior Adkins Allen led the Warriors with two hits in three at bats.  Sophomore Smith Goracke paced St. David's with three walks.  Overall, the Warriors had patience at the plate, tallying six walks for the game.   

Our Varsity Boys Baseball team took on the Lions of Trinity Academy on Tuesday, March 4th.  The Warriors had been working hard all preseason and were excited to get the actual season underway.  The Warriors had a lot of key returning players and added 4 new faces to the mix.  Sophomore Smith Goracke opened up on the mound for the Warriors.  He pitched 3 2/3 innings, only giving up 2 hits and one run.  He also added 2 hits to his stat sheet for the night.  It was a total team effort for the Warriors who were able to walk away with a 12-5 victory over the Lions.
